Estimated progress of investment preparation, compensation for ground clearance, construction time, operating time of production, business, service provision... The progress of the project is divided into the following stages:
Stage I (2020-2025): To build 04 general cargo berth for ships of up to 100,000DWT, including 01 cargo berth for loading and unloading machinery and equipment for construction of domestic factories in the Southeast Economic Zone and the region. The system of fairways, water areas and breakwaters of Phase I shall ensure the exploitation of the berth area of Stage 1 by the capital source of the investor. Estimated total investment is 4.946 trillion VND (in which the dyke dam reduces 850m in length, construction costs 535 billion VND). Total cargo volume to 2025 is 13.5 million tons, the average capacity of each berth is 3.375 million tons/year.
Stage II (2026-2031): Build 3 more general cargo berths for ships of up to 100,000DWT; to complete the southern breakwater and dredge open water for 03 additional berths. Estimated total investment is 4.980 trillion VND (in which the dyke dam reduces length 750m, construction cost 750 billion). The total forecasted volume is 19 million tons/year, the average capacity of each berth is 2.73 million tons/year.
Stage III (2031-2036): Build 3 more berths for ships of up to 100,000DWT in cargo handling, complete the breakwaters and dredge open water for 03 additional berths. Estimated total investment is 4.308 trillion VND. Total cargo volume is forecasted at 27 million tons/year, average capacity of each berth is 2.7 million tons/year.
